“Auspicious Rites” Rosewood & Porcelain Cultural Gift Box — Wu-Tou Gate Porcelain Plates

The design draws on the “Wu-Tou Gate” from the Song-dynasty architectural treatise Yingzao Fashi. Vermilion glaze outlines the form, echoing the foundations of Chinese ritual order. The porcelain plate centres on the gate motif, framed in dark carved wood and interwoven with Gaochun carving traditions and Suzhou plum and jasmine patterns — wood grain and glaze in quiet dialogue, uniting the ritual architecture of ancient China with the finesse of ceramic art.
